Where's your camera when you need it? One day last fall, I actually had my camera nearby when a squirrel climbed out on a limb on the oak tree outside my office window. He lied down and appeared to be sleeping. I pulled out my digital camera and took several rounds of shots of him. I've attached two pictures to this article, one of his lying flat on the tree limb and another one of his looking at me! He had caught me spying on him.
I took these through a window with my Nikon Coolpix 8700. I've since given it to my hubby, who being better at figuring out the serious cameras, can put it to better use. My camera of choice currently is a Canon PowerShot A620, small, faster and most of the controls are right on the LCD menu.
