I mixed in the rocks with molding paste, black acrylic paint with high gloss to add shine. It ended up looking like black glass on a road, black asphalt. The idea for this one came from a painting of Jackson Polluck's that my Mom and I saw at a modern museum. He had used rocks in the painting.
